The main protagonist of the game, a monkey referred to as the Destined One, is based on Sun Wukong from the Journey to the West novel mentioned above. Sun Wukong is a fearless monkey born from a stone and possessing supernatural powers - such as amazing strength, speed, transformation ability, and superior memory - through Taoist practices.
